CITHM Hosts Two-Day FBSE Seminar to Promote Filipino Service Excellence | The Envergan
Aiming to empower service providers to deliver with empathy and cultural pride, the CITHM Department conducted a two-day Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training Seminar at the EMRC and HRM Function Hall on October 9-10, 2025.
Organized by Dociera Events in collaboration with the CITHM Department and the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region IV-A, the seminar, themed “Power of FBSE: Paving the Way for a Culture-Centered Nation,” gathered 75 participants, including second-year Tourism and Hospitality students, CITHM officers, and selected EUC faculty members. Hosted by Ms. Jennie Lorraine Lopez and Mr. Jester Macasaet, the program began with inspirational remarks from Mrs. Asheila O. Tarranco and Dr. Crystal B. Quintana.
Following the presentation of the participants and the event objectives, Mr. Francisco Q. De Torres, a certified regional trainer, was introduced as the guest speaker. The seminar also featured special guests, including Ms. Heart Balmse and Ms. Karen Bartolome, a representative from DOT CALABARZON.
Afterward, Mr. De Torres continued his main session throughout the afternoon, emphasizing new methods for service excellence, cultural values, and customer service. His talk highlighted interactive and informative activities designed to immerse participants in the core principles of Filipino hospitality—warmth, respect, and community spirit.
The seminar concluded with Ms. Alexis Timajo wrapping up the discussion, followed by Mrs. Madonna Ursolino, who delivered the closing remarks.
