MSEUF-CI Conducts Surprise Earthquake Drill to Test Student Preparedness | The Envergan

In a proactive move to strengthen disaster readiness, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation – Candelaria, Inc. (MSEUF-CI) held its first surprise earthquake drill on October 21, 2025, at 10:30 AM.

The activity was conducted as part of the institution’s commitment to disaster risk reduction and student safety.

The unannounced drill was organized in coordination with Dr. Crystal B. Quintana, Dean of Studies; Mr. Gaspar Hector Tapire, Administrative Officer; and Mr. Jonathan Villaruz, High School Principal.

The activity was conducted in conformity with safety guidelines and focused on assessing student alertness, emphasizing the importance of security and proper drill procedures.

Moreover, Health and Wellness Officer and Safety Officer Nurse Maria Liza Vallarta reminded students of the important role safety drills play in saving lives during real emergencies. She emphasized the need to take these activities seriously to reduce casualties and increase overall alertness.

The drill was proposed in response to the series of tragedies that occurred in the country over the past few weeks.
