CTELA Celebrates Teachers’ Day with Student-Led Tribute | The Envergan
The College of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts held its own departmental teachers’ day program to recognize and appreciate its dedicated faculties at the Sports and Recreational Hall on October 3, 2025.
The celebration began formally, including the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, a Doxology, and the University Hymn. The program then proceeded to an insightful interview, featuring the messages of Mr. Jonathan Villaruz, Ms. Vernie Mercado, Dr. Crystal Quintana, and Mr. Jaybe Bautista.
The highlight of the event was a student-staged play, where CTELA students portrayed their faculty members through a mix of comedy, inspiration, and heartfelt tribute. This tribute showcased a wide range of student talent, including comedy acting, singing, dancing, and spoken word poetry, all combined into one meaningful performance of gratitude.
In addition to the performances, both faculty and students engaged in fun-filled activities such as the “Bato-Bato Pick Relay,” the hyper quiz game “Tumpakners,” and the exciting “Guess the Lyrics” segment. The celebration’s energy was further heightened with a raffle draw that kept the audience thrilled throughout the afternoon.
The event concluded with closing remarks delivered by the CTELA governors and organization presidents, thus solidifying the department’s deep appreciation for its teaching staff.
