Teachers from public and private schools in Candelaria east and west districts converged at the EUC Gymnasium on October 2, 2025, to mark World Teachers’ Day in an event spearheaded by Candelaria Quezon People’s Council.

The celebration showcased both competition and creativity, with basketball, badminton, cultural performances, and other activities simultaneously staged at the Sports and Recreational Hall and the EUC Gymnasium, while the volleyball games were held at Grabsum School, Inc. The event provided an avenue for teachers to showcase not only their athletic skills but also their creativity and camaraderie.

The program opened with welcome remarks from Mrs. Maria Teresa G. Riparip, Elementary Principal, who expressed gratitude to teachers, students, and guests for their presence. This was followed by special messages from Mrs. Leonisa M. Velasco, Chairman of the Education Sector of the Candelaria Quezon People Council, and Mr. Allan M. Gonzales, District Sports Coordinator, who both emphasized the role of teachers in fostering excellence and unity.

This event served as a well-rounded tribute to educators, honoring their contributions not only inside classrooms but also within the wider community.
