EUC Celebrates “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day with Faculty and Staff Boodle Fight | The Envergan
Faculties and staff of Enverga University Candelaria held a boodle fight on September 22, 2025, at the EUC Gymnasium in celebration of “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day,” observed nationwide as part of the 33rd National Family Week.
The program began at 12:30 p.m. with several long tables lined with rice, viands, fruits, and other Filipino dishes, which participants shared in the customary boodle fight manner as part of the celebration.
Prior to the event, an online “Post-A-Meal Challenge” contest was held, encouraging faculty and staff to share photos of their family meals to emphasize the importance of dining together. Ms. Analyn Lynn De Ramos of the Cashier Department was named Grand Winner.
The observance was held pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 96 issued on September 19, 2025, in line with Proclamation No. 60 (s. 1992) declaring the last week of September as Family Week, and Proclamation No. 326 (s. 2012) designating the fourth Monday of September as “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day.”
This activity at Enverga University Candelaria reflects the institution’s core values of Mindfulness, Unity, and Service, and also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
