Enverga Candelaria conducts an annual blood donation drive with the initiative to address the ongoing need for blood in local hospitals and support patients in urgent medical situations, held today, September 23rd, at the EUC Gymnasium.

Third and fourth-year nursing students, along with twelve volunteers from the Philippine Red Cross Lucena Chapter, actively assist throughout the drive.

Ma'am Edith C. Magpantay, the CES Department Head, organized the event, highlighting its significance in supporting local patients. The initiative brings together faculty members, students, and their families, fostering a sense of unity and purpose.

Before donating, all participants register and undergo a brief health screening to ensure their eligibility to give blood. The organizers confirmed that the donated bags of blood will go to local hospitals and patients in urgent need.

Organizers and volunteers, especially Dr. Milagros Salamat and Dra. Concepcion Ortis, encouraged community members to take part in this vital cause, emphasizing that each donation can save lives and strengthen the community.

They hoped to inspire more individuals to participate in future events, creating a lasting impact for those in need.
